Job Description

Purpose of the role

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and overall performance of allocated projects.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Preparing quotations, budget quotations for projects in South Africa & Africa (EPC).
  • Submit and present proposal/tender to client/consultants.
  • Coordinate and negotiate tender with client/consultants.
  • Project Managing on Renewable Energy Projects. These projects range from 100kVA Rural installation to 200MW utility-scale projects.
  • Project
  • Work with Engineering division (Renewables Department).
  • Prepare Cash flow, Cost control schedules, and project
  • Control delay and disruption notifications according to the
  • Manage Solar installation site
  • Writing and verify function specifications for the
  • Manage site manager and site personnel (Technical and Construction).
  • Project planning on all
  • Handover and closeout of
  • Prepared to travel and work on site and other African countries.

Qualifications:

  • Degree / National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Project Management
  • Certified training in PMBOK
  • PMP or Project Management Degree will be
  • SACPCMP registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr. CPM) or Professional Construction Manager (Pr. CM) will be
  • ECSA registration will be
  • Formal training in related contract management (ECC & PSC or others as required).


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Project Manager in the Renewable
  • Practical site construction experience will be
  • Project Engineer experience will be
  • Must have a high-level understanding of PMBOK

 

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of project management principals in terms of the
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS
  • Thorough knowledge on contract management and contract
  • Thorough understanding of project
  • Good knowledge of regulatory and safety
  • Thorough understanding of business
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and organizational

Skills:

  • Computer Literate (Word, Excel)
  • Computer Systems (IFS, Primavera, MS Projects, Project Management Collaboration Platforms)
  • Be able to communicate
  • Be technically
